WHAT IS IT?

OPPD maintains 98,744 streetlights each year. More than 77,000 of those streetlights are located within cities and towns in the OPPD service territory. OPPD contracts with these entities, including the Nebraska Department of Transportation, to maintain and repair streetlights.

In 2018, OPPD will begin a five-year program that will change these streetlights to LED fixtures. The program will provide monetary savings to these customers and the taxpayers they serve.
