WHAT IS IT? The total capital investment of projects landed by Omaha Public Power District’s economic development team in 2017-2018. This number includes new and expanding businesses.

In partnership with the Greater Omaha Chamber, 33 projects landed in the region in 2018, exceeding $1.4 billion in capital investment and more than 2,000 new jobs.

Beyond jobs, the capital investment directly benefits communities in OPPD’s service territory. The team’s work translates into jobs, business diversity and economic strength for the area. OPPD partners with the state, communities and chambers throughout its service territory on economic development efforts. The utility also works with the Greater Omaha Chamber and its Prosper Omaha goal to increase businesses, jobs and investment in the region.
