Public power: Affordable electricity a factor for young family

There’s a lot to consider when raising a young family and establishing careers.

For parents Gabrielle and Chris, the last five years saw their family grow from three to five, while the couple lived in St. Louis, then Chicago as Chris completed medical residencies.

When it came time to settle down for good, the couple landed in Omaha. Aside from family connections, the affordability of electricity and other services played a part in their decision.
