While holiday lights are fun and festive, untangling and fixing holiday lights can be headache-inducing.
With the right supplies, however, you can quickly repair broken lights, and then make a simple storage solution so you can skip untangling for good. Watch the video above for how-to instructions.
As you decorate this season, be sure to keep safety top-of-mind. When hanging holiday lights outside, stay away from power lines and always be sure they’re certified for outdoor use. Prior to putting them up, always inspect them for frayed wires, gaps in the insulation or excessive wear.
If it’s time to replace your lights, consider purchasing LEDs. LEDs use less energy, run at a cooler temperature (reducing fire hazards) and last longer than incandescent models.
