Arby’s brought a new fast food concept to Omaha in 1969.
According to the January- February issue of OPPD’S Ideas magazine, the new drive-in restaurant on 333 South 72nd St., featured new electric ovens and electric warmers.
“Our electric cooking equipment saves hours of time, both in preparation of foods and in maintenance” said owner Sam B. Marvin.
The electric warmers kept foods hot and ready to serve customers without any problems. The even monitoring and well-regulated heat that provided uniform quality food each day.
One of the secrets to Arby’s famous roast beef sandwiches was the electric ovens, which sealed the juices and kept the meat tender and full of flavor.
